Bike Transport:
The best way to get your bike to Bermuda is on the plane with you. There are no bikes to rent on Bermuda. It is very expensive to ship your bike, and with customs and import duties, there are no guarantees that your bike will arrive in time for the race.

We will have bike mechanics available at the Fairmont Southampton to help assemble your bike and get it race ready. They'll also help you disassemble and pack it for your flight home. There will be a charge for this service ($30 for assembly upon arrival, $30 for disassembly/packing for return). You'll need to make an appointment for this service.  Please email Ian at ianpor4@hotmail.com to schedule.  Appointments are available on Thursday, November 3 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m., Friday, November 4 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, November 5 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  You do not have to be a guest at the Fairmont Southampton to take advantage of this service.

In order to take your bike on the plane, you will need to disassemble it and pack it into some type of box. If you don't own or want to purchase a hard case bike box, you may want to contact a local bike shop in your area and ask them if they can provide you with a cardboard box to pack your bike in. They may be able to help you disassemble and pack your bike. (They usually charge a fee.)  For more information about traveling with your bike, click here.
